i left you about a year ago. i wanted someone else. so when i told you i had been with this other guy and all you could say is i don’t care, i love you, i didn’t know what to do. no one else in the world could do that for me. i was so lucky to have you, but things between you and me were difficult. it was always us being so afraid to hurt each other, we never really said how we felt. so i broke your heart. i saw how much you hurt and even though it was so tempting for me to go back to you, i couldn’t. thanks for standing up for me when others said i was cruel, you will always have my respect. so when these feeling linger back again, i can’t let them grow. i can’t hurt you again. because i love you too much

So what he said he doesn’t care? May be he was upset that you went with another man. You say he loved you. We are lucky to find true love once in a lifetime. Since he loved you he would’ve taken you back.
I don’t understand why you left him. You loved him, he loved you…what is the problem? Pride? Scared of hurting him? Don’t you think you hurt him more by leaving him…he loved YOU!
